Debbie Wilson - Advanced Tap Thursday, 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Artistic Director, Co-Founder, Director, Choreographer

Debbie Wilson holds a BA in Theatre Arts/Dance and has studied in New York, Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. She has studied Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Musical Theatre, Hawaiian, Tahitian, Ballroom, Square and Folk Dance.

Debbie has choreographed for the Olympics, the Super Bowl, the Pro Bowl, American Bowls in London and Mexico , the World Bowl in London, the San Francisco 49ers, East-West Shrine Games, the Opening Ceremonies for the World Cup and San Francisco Black & White Balls.

She has performed in, directed and/or choreographed over 200 Musical Theatre productions including: 42nd Street, Pippin, Hello Dolly, Oklahoma, My One and Only, Peter Pan, Chicago, Follies, A Chorus Line, and Anything Goes with Chita Rivera.

For 20 years, Debbie taught for American Musical Theatre of San Jose. She was the Dance Chairperson for the professional training program (the Theatre Artists Institute) and was the Coordinator/Dance Instructor for AMTSJ's summer youth training for ten years. From 1988-1993, Debbie headed the Dance Department at Lincoln High Performing Arts Magnet. She has taught for the United Spirit Association, San Jose State University, the Santa Clara Vanguard, several private studios and adjudicates competitions throughout the western United States. Debbie is a founder of El Dorado Musical Theatre. She lives in El Dorado Hills with her daughter, Anjie Rose and son, Zachary.


Terri Taylor - TAP (INT I+II, BEG) Fridays 3:30, 4:30, and 5:30 pm Terri Taylor began dancing at the age of three and hasn't stopped since. She participated in a diverse range of dance activities including competitions as a soloist and as part of a dance company, performance dance companies, dance workshops, master classes and conventions as well as community theatre. Terri studied dance with some of the greatest instructors in dance education in California, and her passion blossomed in community theatre and performing. She participated in Community Theater with the San Jose Civic Light Opera, San Francisco Theatre Ballet, Woodminster Amphitheater, and toured all over California with several performance companies, and danced professionally for one year before moving to Sacramento. Over the past twenty years she has had the pleasure of teaching and choreographing for students who are passionate about dance and theatre arts. Many of her students have gone on to dance professionally all over the world, in touring companies, at theme parks, on cruise ships and on Broadway. Terri has a long history as one of the choreographers for Dance Theatre West, Broadway Academy's premier dance company, and Best of Broadway. In the 2004 October issue of Sacramento Magazine, she was named as one of the 20 Women We Admire. Terri says, "All of my students share a common thread...exploring the arts and finding their joy along the way. I look forward to my experience with each of you!"


Norine Brown - BALLET Saturdays 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 am

Norine received her early dance training in Vancouver, Canada, and furthered her education at the Hammond School of Dancing in Chester England where she attained diplomas in Modern, National, RAD Ballet, Imperial Ballet, Anatomy, and Ballroom. Eventually joined a French touring company and traveled extensively throughout Europe and over time re-settled in Vancouver and began a ballet teaching career. In 1986 along with husband Jeff, moved to Sacramento, California. Since that time, has undergone continual training and upgrading in the Cecchetti method and currently resides on the Board of CUSA (Cecchetti USA) and is an active West Coast Committee member. Norine is proud to enter students in annual Cecchetti examinations while concurrently traveling to workshops and summer schools throughout the USA and Canada where she teaches students and participates in teacher classes. An active Board Member of SADA (Sacramento Area Dance Alliance) for the past 17 years working in many capacities and is currently acting as Corresponding Secretary. SADA is a non profit company that offers workshops and scholarships to local dance students. Some of Norine's former students have advanced their careers to become dancers with major Canadian and American Ballet companies. Norine enjoys teaching dance to all age groups whether they desire a professional career or are attending classes for pure enjoyment.


Christina Day - LYRICAL, BEG JAZZ Wednesdays 5:30 and 6:30 pm

Christina has been performing for around 18 years, training in Ballet, Jazz, Pointe, Lyrical, and Musical Theatre. After attending the Boston Conservatory for Musical Theatre, Christina is happy to be back to where it all began. Her credits include the National Tour of How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Phyllis Who), as well as Evita, Annie (Pepper), Sound of Music (Louisa), and Wizard of Oz with Sacramento Music Circus. She also has been lucky enough to perform at the St. Louis MUNY in Grease, King and I, Peter Pan, Joseph...Dreamcoat, and the Wizard of Oz. Locally you can see her perform with Artistic Differences, as well as Graham Sobleman's weekly Graham-a-rama.


Jessica Will
- INT + INT/ADV JAZZ Tuesdays 6:30 and 7:30 pm
- BEG JAZZ/TAP + BEG JAZZ Wednesdays 3:30 and 4:30 pm

Jessica began dancing at the age of three. Since then, she has studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, modern, and hip hop. She has competed all over California and at four National Competitions in Las Vegas. She has performed in Cancun, Mexico, and onboard ships in the Carnival Cruise Lines. Jessica began teaching at age 15 and says that dancing is her passion. Her goal is to share it with everyone she teaches and for whom she performs.


Jasmine Ingram - HIP HOP Wednesdays 3:30, 4:30 and 5:30 pm

Jasmine has been dancing for 18 years and is a graduate of a Visual Performing Arts High School. She has experience in ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, and hip hop. She has performed with a National Dance Team, at Kings' games, and at the California State Fair. She has choreographed for numerous dance teams, and is currently the hip hop coach for the Royal Dance Company. Jasmine brings her enthusiasm and energy for hip hop and will offer classes for all age groups.


Jason Bortz
- ACTING FOR CAMERA Saturdays 9:30 and 10:30 am
- SCENE STUDY/CHARACTER DEV. Thursdays 6:30 pm
- IMPROV/COMEDY SPORTS Thursdays 7:30 pm

Jason is a Sacramento-based filmmaker who has his own production company, AESTUS. He has acted in many films in LA and New York before moving to Sacramento. Though he loves film, he says he'll always come back to theatre. He believes it vital to have live commerce with an audience. It keeps a performer grounded, humble, and alive-awake to the possibilities that at any moment, anything can go wrong. It leads a performer to create characters that can be sustained for hours at a time instead of relying upon the luxury of cutting and reshooting. EDMT is fortunate to have Jason on staff!


Franchesca Sonoyama
- SHAKESPEARE Tuesdays 6:30 pm
- MUSICAL THEATRE AUDITION SKILLS Tuesdays 7:30 pm

Franchesca Sonoyama has a BA in Dramatic Art and Communication from UC Davis. She has done training as a Teaching Artist in schools with Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission in their Teaching Artist Workshop Series. She was an ArtsBridge Scholar with UC Davis & Mondavi's ArtsBridge Scholar Program where she taught theatre at an elementary school and did training through the Kennedy Center to integrate theatre in schools. She has also been a Musical Theatre Camp Counselor for CMT's youth programs: Camp Music Circus & Backstage Pass Camp. Aside from teaching, Franchesca is also a musical theatre performer. Roles she has done are Little Sally in Urinetown, Antonia in Man of La Mancha (with life-sized puppets!), Louise in Moliere's The Imaginary Invalid, and Banquo in Shakespeare's Macbeth. Franchesca currently works for California Musical Theatre in Sacramento. She has directed youth performances in the Bay Area and in Sacramento and currently, she is enjoying the bliss of newlywed life.


Spencer Borup - SEMI-PRIVATE ACTING Saturdays 9:30-11:30 am*

Spencer has been in productions with El Dorado Musical Theatre since it began in 2001, and has appeared in over 30 musicals. He has been nominated for several Elly awards, and has won two for his roles in 42nd Street and Aladdin. This past year, he attended BYU where he studied music, and most recently taught Semi-Private acting at the Performing Arts Institute for El Dorado Musical Theatre this summer. He is currently teaching piano lessons and writing/composing his own music. When registering, please specify which 30 minute timeframe. Maximum 3 students per 30 minute session.


Christina Cimorelli
- INTRO TO MUSICAL THEATRE (Ages 6-8) Fridays 3:30 pm
- GROUP VOICE (Ages 6-10) Fridays 4:30 pm

Christina currently attends Folsom Lake College where she is focusing on general education and music classes. She is the oldest daughter of Lynne Cimorelli, a music director at EDMT. She has been acting in EDMT productions since 2002 and is an Elly award-winning actress. Christina sings with her sisters in a five-part harmony group called "The Cimorellis" and was recently featured on the OceansUp website. She first learned to harmonize at four years old and has performed numerous times singing barbershop, pop and classical in addition to singing with her church choir. She writes music and has been playing piano since she was two years old.


Cindy Nelson
- VOCAL HARMONIZING Tuesdays at 6:30 pm
- VOCAL AUDITION PREP Fridays 3:30 and 4:30 pm

Cindy has been busy honing her craft since the age of 9. With more than 30 years of experience as a music performer, 11 years of music teaching, along with her extensive music education she has proven to be an asset to many singers over the years. She is highly skilled, passionate, creative, and resourceful music instructor with the goal and specialty is to bring the best and the most out of each student. As a music instructor she has helped launch several music camps, group vocal studies, youth and woman choirs, recording projects for schools, plus one-act mini-musical classes in her community. Some of Cindy's music accomplishments include being a successful Nashville recording artist, a pulished songwriter, a performer in musicals and various operas, plus writing songs for TV, film and other aritists. Along with these accomplishments she also holds a BA degree in music cum laude from the University of Sacramento, California. She graduated in the top 10 of her class in just three short years. In July of 2007 Cindy headed back to college and earned a Professionals Certificate in Music Business at the esteemed BerkleeMusic graduating with a 4.0 GPA, as well as being awarded the Glen Ballard music scholarship.


Kelly Nava - TRAINING SHOW PREP Saturdays 9:30 and 10:30 am*

Kelly has a Masters in Theatre Education and performed in musical theater throughout high school and college. She received several nominations and acting awards, including Oustanding Senior Theatre Major. She directed various productions while in college, and taught acting/creative dramatics for children during the summer months. She also held various technical positions including stage manager and house manager for various productions.
